Salmon is Delicious!

What I learned is that I love salmon. I started eating salmon at one year old. Salmon is my favorite fish now. I'll even eat salmon burgers that my family buys frozen at Costco. I put on my salmon burger ketchup, tomato, and mustard.

I liked salmon sushi at seven.

It wasn't my favorite. My favorite sushi is actually California Rolls.

As much as I like salmon, it tastes better to me as cooked fish than raw in a sushi roll. I don't eat salmon as sushi anymore.

My dad grills and bakes salmon. It taste good both ways. I like the way salmon has a strong taste. If I had never tried salmon I wouldn't know how much I liked it. Trying new foods is fun and easy!

I will always like salmon. That is how I learned to enjoy salmon.

I Want to Catch Another Fish

I said in the last post about fishing that I had caught two bass. Well, I caught a third.

I caught the third bass by just a pull of the rod. It just got me closer to my goal. My goal is four Bass. I want to catch four bass like my dad.

I'm going fishing in two local lakes near my home. I'm going to catch it (probably) in the one closest to our house. I'm going to catch it there because I caught two at the further one that is much larger and I only caught one at the other. I like fishing at either location.

I'm going to try to catch it before 2013. While fishing with my Uncle, casting under the boat at my grandfather's dock, I simply lifted the rod and the bass was there. This time I plan to cast all night if that is what it takes to catch the fourth bass.

I Love Fishing

What I learned is that fishing is fun. I stared catching sunnys no bigger than seven

inches when I was four.

Then my brother caught a Perch when he was four.

He caught sunnys too. My dad had the most luck. He catches bass after bass.

Last year I caught an eighteen inch bass. I was fishing under a boat and the strongest pull ever happened to me. It almost died but we saved it. Dad took the hook and put the fish in the water.

Then at Bear Pond I caught a seven inch Bass. Then I caught an eight inch sunny. Weeks ago I saw a huge splash in Bear Pond - there is something big in Bear Pond!! That is where I learned to like fishing.

Going to the beach is fun!!

What I learned is that I like going to the beach. I liked it first on my first Christmas. I went to Charleston, South Carolina to visit my Grandma and Grandpa. I played in the sand and tidal pools.

At age five I got hit by a wave. I flipped over and got salt in my mouth and nose. I felt bad for some of the week. Even though that happened to me, I always liked going to the beach. Swimming in the ocean, looking for shells, and building sand castles with my Grandma and Dad are the things I like to do. I like going to the beach every year.

This might be my first year I don't go to the beach. I am sad. I'm going to make up for it. I'm going to tell my parents I want to go to the beach twice next year!

That is how I learned to like going to beaches.

Cub Scout Camp is Fun!

What I learned is that I like to go to Cub Scout camp. I started as a Wolf and was scared because it was my first year. That was four years ago. But I had a lot of fun. I learned

to do archery and my Grandpa and Grandma bought me an archery set for my August birthday that year.

As a Bear I got "Butterflies" the night before camp started and the morning of the first day. Both years I had a good time, made friends, and learned new things.

Last year as a first year WEBELOS I still felt more "Butterflies" and had a nervous stomach. But like each year before I still had fun. I felt better after camp. I felt the same again the next day. I felt better by the end of the second day of camp.

This year I had the same thing happen but only for the first day. I hope tomorrow I don't feel bad. I'm going to be a brave camper. I'm going to make my last year of Cub Scout camp my best year.

That is how I'm going to break through my fears. Because deep down I know I really do like camp!

Wii is Fun!

What I learned is to like playing Wii. I won the Wii at karate when I was five years old. It was a raffle prize and it came with Wii Sports. I was a Dragon Blue-striped belt. It was a first place prize. I was so happy and surprised to have won. My parents were, too.

Over the years I got Lego Indiana Jones I and II, Endless Ocean, Speed Racer, Lego Harry Potter 1-4 and 5-7, Game Party, Carnival, Lego Batman, Wii Fit, and Lego Star Wars The Complete Saga. I'm best at Lego games. I finish them with walk-throughs. I sometimes lose people I have "purchased" and levels I have completed. I go through the levels fast.

This summer my Wii isn't working. We have to check the button box. If that doesn't work we buy a new button box. If it does work we have to buy a new console.I hope it is just the button box because it is cheaper. I cannot wait until the Wii is fixed.

That is how I learned to like Wii!

Pizza is Delicious!

What I learned is to like pizza. I liked it at age one but only liked broccoli and chicken because that is what my mom ordered for me.

She said she did that because it was a meal with protein and a vegetable. At age two I still liked it very much. Then, once I could talk, I said "no more broccoli and chicken".

Next I went through a phase of eating plain pizza. A few years ago I learned to like pepperoni pizza.

My dad had me try it and I liked it!

I went to Macaroni Grill recently. I didn't like the pepperoni pizza there because the pepperoni was too spicy and the cheese wasn't to my liking.

So I am never going to get pizza there again.

I still like pizza at home, The Grotto, Frank's Trattoria, and Parma John's. It is delicious! All of these places I've been to and enjoy the pizza. I like pizza!! That is how I learned to like pizza!

Goals are Worth Achieving

What I learned is that I like swimming. I started at age two and it was fun and not hard. At age three I did more intense swimming. I was scared, afraid of going underwater, and I cried.

At age five I dunked my face into my kiddie pool. I cried but I was encouraged. I never gave up and then I liked swimming ten times more.

Last year I went on a swim team.

I earned a lot of ribbons. It was fun and used my swimming in a new way.

During winter I had intense training to prepare for swim team this year. I didn't think it would be so hard but it was! I became really fast! I'm now on swim team again. I like swim team. Our first meet of the summer is tonight. I hope it will be a great season. That is how I learned to never give up and keep swimming.

A Passion for Legos

What I learned is that I like Legos!! I learned to like them when my Mom introduced me at age four.I couldn't let my brother Gregory in the Lego room. He was a newborn a month later minus a day.I love Legos and I still collect them. I do a lot of My Own Creations (MOCs). I want to be the leader of Lego.

Some of my favorite Lego sets are Log Cabin, Hillside House, and Beach House. They're all houses. Now I know what you're thinking that I'm a house guy and you arrrrrrrrrreee correct!! My brother gets cool pieces (as well as me).

I want two things about Legos. Number one I wish there were Lego trees that produced Legos instead of fruit. Number two I wish it would rain Legos then I would get a lot of Legos and never ever get bored. We would have Lego hunts every time it rained. I wish Legos were everywhere. That is how I learned I had a passion for Legos.

Reading is Fun

What I learned is I like to read. I didn't always like reading because it was hard. The words on the page used to get blurry. This upset me. Still, I learned to like books

when I found Captain Underpants books at my school library.

My mom turned me on to Lego books.

I also liked the Boxcar Children Series when I read them one summer. Books were fun and an escape.

Even though I started enjoying reading, things still got blurry. I found the problem in January 2012 when my mom took me to the eye doctor. I had convergence insufficiency (glasses not needed).

I did eye exercises for five months. Within three weeks of starting the exercises I noticed a positive change. That was encouraging.

I can see and read better now. I love reading. I study Lego books for a long time. I'm reading Star Wars and Hardy Boys chapter books.

That is how I learned to like reading.
